APMG Agile Foundation Practice Exam – Practice Test & Study Guide

The principle of DSDM that is not included is deploying iteratively. DSDM, or Dynamic Systems Development Method, emphasizes the importance of working in predefined increments, ensuring that businesses can deliver the required capabilities on time while maintaining control over the project's progress. The approach is focused on delivering products through collaboration and feedback cycles rather than on layered releases of fully integrated solutions.

The principles outlined in DSDM are aimed at providing a framework that promotes efficiency and clear communication. Delivering on time establishes a commitment to the timeframe, demonstrating control emphasizes governance and stakeholder engagement to mitigate risk, and building incrementally from firm foundations ensures that there is a solid base for subsequent developments. In contrast, while iteration is a characteristic of Agile methodologies in general, DSDM specifically focuses on incremental delivery instead of iterative deployment, hence "deploying iteratively" is not recognized as a distinct principle within DSDM.
